My story is like many others': When I was still in the womb, the doctors told my parents that I was at risk of being born with autism or another mental disability - I was conceived only 2 months after my older sister was born and this caused concern. The doctors suggested abortion to my parents as an option. My mother and father declined this option (and the doctor's future services), and I was born without a trace of autism or any other disability. I am now a seminarian with the Congregation of Holy Cross and a student at the University of Notre Dame.
